So another study was released that shows the United States is fatter than ever. According to the CDC 1/3 of us are obese. By question is, we have always prided ourselves on being an industrious and hardworking people but it seems many of us are too lazy to exercise and eat healthy. I don’t really buy the whole "dont have the time excuse". I have a very busy schedule and manage to exercise and eat right to maintain a healthy weight. So why are so many Americans overweight? What are some of the reasons why you think this has become a huge problem in the U.S.? The article is below.

Because weve been living in a comfort zone in this country that is scary. No one wants to work at being healthy and wants everything handed to them on a silver platter. Everybody’s got a good excuse but no good reasons for not staying fit. The word is LAZY. Even though I have a crippled arm, I do something to stay in shape EVERYDAY. I could run circles around most of the general population even though I’m not 100% physically.

I believe 1/3 of Americans are obese because of fast food, video games, and lack of exercise. When people play video games they usually have a greasy snack with it to. While you are playing these games the snacks add unecessary calories to your body which can fall in extra places. Many people are too tierd to get up and get outside so these calories stay in place. The result…overweight. Now fast food, it looks so good but it is so bad. Not only does it add on exess calories but it clogs artiries and most importantly your heart. Fast food is VERY BAD FOR YOU. This is why 1/3 of americans are obese.

Too much calorie rich and nutrient poor food, and the companies that put their supersized, additive and preservative laced swill on the market have people conditioned to accept their slop as healthy, desirable food.

And the ‘lifestyle’ of sitting in front of a computer or TV eating during our free time doesn’t help.
