An education is a long-term investment. It will put them in good jobs. It will also give them a lot of self-respect. Money is not everything. There are learning years and earning years. It is generally not a good idea to prioritize work before education. It is like putting the cart before the horse. I dont know where you think you have to work like a slave, unless you are talking about uneducated positions.
